Biluochun Tea is one of the ten most famous teas in China and from the its birthplace in the Dong Ting lake region. The technique for collecting the tea leaves is very complex with only the tender tips of the leaves used in the tea making process. The Biluochun tea involves a particularly labor intensive process but the end result are leaves that are compact, tender and wonderfully fresh and aromatic. When brewed, the tea is yellow-green in colour with a strong, fresh smell and taste.
This picking of Biluochun contains smaller leaves that are covered in far more fine white hairs than the usual varieties and with a taste that is also more pronounced. |
