SHIPPING INFORMATION
We offer two types of shipping method:
1. Standard Shipping
Our Standard Shipping rate is a flat charge of $3.95 to any destination in the world (excluding gift boxes, see below). Each order of $50 and above will be shipped free of charge (excluding gift boxes, see below). All orders generally ship from our Montreal office within 24-48 hours (excluding weekend and holidays) and arrive within 9-12 business days, occasionally longer for orders shipped outside of North America. All shipments are insured for a minimum of $100.
2. Express Shipping
Express Shipping rate is calculated based on weight and destination. Orders usually take 4 to 6 days to arrive. Package tracking features are available with this option. Email us for details.
Note:
- During holidays, order processing and/or shipping may be slightly delayed.
- We do not ship on holidays and Sunday.
- All Standard Shipping orders to the US are handled by USPS.
2A. Express Shipping for orders over $50
There is an additonal discount on Express shipping for orders over $50. The discount will be calculated based on weight and destination. Email us for details.
3. International Standard Shipping Exemptions
Due to the size and weight of the blossoming tea gift box and some ceramic and clay canisters, standard shipping can take 2-4 weeks to arrive. In this case, Express Shipping is strongly recommended.
Tracking Packages
We will inform you via email as soon as your package is shipped. Up-to-date tracking of delivery status is only available with Express Shipping. Instructions will be provided in the notification email. To learn about the status of your order, please visit your account page.
Late or Lost Orders
In the event that an order shipped using Standard Shipping is late, there is a 45 days waiting period from notification to Golden Teahouse before the order is considered officially "lost". Usually, these delays are attributed to the customs process and are beyond our control. In the event that your package is lost we will issue a full refund or re-ship your order.
Returns
We assure quality and stand by our products
We understand how difficult it can be to get good quality and fresh tea in America and Europe. Our teas are guaranteed fresh as we ship directly to you from China. If you are not satisfied with our merchandise, you may return it for a full refund by simply e-mailing us within 14 days of receipt. Shipping costs are not included in the guarantee unless they are the result of our error. Returns are processed upon receiving the complete product back at our returns address (Choice between our Asian or American location are used for your convenience). Products must be returned with the receipt in their original condition and packaging.
**Note: orders that qualified for free shipping are refunded minus the base $3.95 if the new order balance is under the minimum. |
