At Golden Teahouse, the responsibility to uphold your privacy is one of our many promises ensuring your continual satisfaction long after you’ve run out of tea. We promise to never share any single bit of your personal information, with anyone - EVER. We never want our customers having second thoughts about using any one of Golden Teahouse’s contact or purchasing features.
Information Storage
As a friendly company, we like to chat with many of our customers and website visitors. Some of the information you send us will remain stored on our computers, but only so we are able to easily reply to you; similar to how your own computer stores its incoming mail. However, this information is securely stored and will always remain private.
Spam
Golden Teahouse hates spam. We don’t like the idea that we will be annoying previous customers just like we don’t enjoy being on the receiving end of unwanted email ourselves. We will only send you an e-mail or call you if there is a genuine need for us to do so, such as when you are expecting a reply or order information, for example. Our monthly newsletter e-mails are only sent to those people who have specifically requested them. Those who no longer wish to receive them can simply email us requesting to be removed and we will remove your address immediately - no questions asked.
Internet Security
We take the issue of secure on-line ordering very seriously. Every time you send us your credit card number and your billing and shipping information, we use industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to prevent the information from being intercepted. We also encrypt your credit card number when you submit an order.
As with virtually all websites, our shopping cart technology will place a small 'cookie' on your computer when an item is added to your cart. A cookie is a tiny amount of data sent to, or requested from your computer. Cookies are used in order to keep track of your shopping cart. Without cookies, the online ordering system would not be able to associate your shopping cart with you, and you would not be able to carry more than one item in your cart at a time. The cookie is NOT spy-ware or ad-ware or anything even remotely sinister, and it does not collect any information from you that is ever used for purposes other than described above.
