These white teas have undergone the absolute minimum processing during production, allowing for the purest, preserved tea flavor. Modern research has only just recently confirmed that white tea is good for your health. Packed with antioxidants, white tea is a tasteful way to benefit from the many micronutrients that enhance immune system functions and also combat skin conditions.
It is made from the youngest buds, picked in spring, before they are open and still covered in fine white hairs. The tea goes through two main steps of withering and baking but is handled quickly to avoid any amount of oxidation (fermentation) so that they contain absolutely no caffeine. Also by not being subjected to the 'killing the green' or 'rolling' processes, the fine white hairs and original look of the leaves are the least altered of any other tea class. The delicate appearance and flavor of the leaves are preserved as a result. While we believe all of our white teas can impress, those marked as our favorites can be certain to please all.
