 | MeiJiaWu West Lake Long Jing (a.k.a. MeiJiaWu, Xi Hu Long Jing, West Lake Dragon Well)
| Season: | Spring 2008 | | | Origin: | West Lake Region, Zhejiang Province | |
Long Jing is unquestionably the most famous tea in China. West Lake Long Jing, grown alongside the scenic West Lake near Hangzhou, being the most sought after by many enthusiasts of premium tea; both in China and the West. The tea has a long and mysterious history and was reputed to be a great favourite of Chairman Mao Zedong. We have chosen this specific Xi Hu Long Jing based first on taste and second on price. We feel this exceptional picking has incredible value for one of most impressive teas available. Being a Yu Qian picking, the infusion is slightly darker and more well-rounded than the earlier Ming Qian teas available on this site. |
