Dancong oolongs hail from Chaozhou, in Guangdong province and represent the city's intense love for tea culture. Tea drinking is everywhere, and it is always a Dancong oolong in each and every cup.

Song Zhong is a premium high grade dancong that we feel competes well with some of our better Wuyi oolongs. While still maintaining a certain rough, yet delicious edge that is specific to chaozhou dancongs, Song Zhong Dancong exhibits these characteristics with a special added finesse that sets it apart from the normal high-grade oolongs. As a mid-roasted oolong, Song Zhong is still less dark and not at all burnt as many typical Feng Huang Dancongs, and it's hard fruity undertones blossom again and again over many infusions.
