 | Qian Liang Aged Black Tea (a.k.a. Qian Liang Hei Cha)
| Season: | 1992 Production | | | Origin: | Hunan Province | |
Qian Liang Aged black is actually literally 'fifty thousand grams', more or less. It does in fact come packed and aged in bamboo, as a large stalk that looks like it used to be part of a very large tree. We have conveniently sliced it into rounds of approximately 1.5lbs, or 700g. The tea's deep red colour shouldn't convince you of the its strength and flavour characteristics. Qian Liang is a very complex tea that is similar to aged pu'er. It's subtle mellow taste and full body is the perfect accompaniment to a large meal. Beyond aiding digestion, the main feature medical effect of this tea is it's ability to lower high blood pressure. |
