Qi Lan is a wonderful experience for those interested in slightly lighter and more 'qing-xiang' Wuyi Oolongs than the usual strongly-roasted varieties. The 'Hui Gan' (sweet aroma after drinking) is very intense and offers a delicious and easy way into high-end tea drinking. A slow exhale after each sip reveals the tea's beauty and complexity every time. We like to think of this tea as Qi Dan's little brother, since it shares many characteristics with that tea, but quite a different overall flavour. |
