New selection from XiPing, one of the four famous areas within the Anxi region of Fujian province. This area's high grade teas are well known for a certain lightness and quality.
This premium Spring tea is much richer than most Tie Guan Yin teas and produces a fine liquor with a very light emerald colour and a taste that follows all the way to the back of your tongue. The Guan Yin King essence is reproduced infusion after infusion especially when brewed gongfu style.
The highlight of this XiPing Anxi picking is the unique sweetness that develops in the floral undertones of the tea.
We consider this to be among our favorites. Therefore, for someone unsure of which Oolong or Tie Guan Yin to try, this tea offers a fantastic (though spoiled) place to start. |
