Dancong oolongs hail from Chaozhou, in Guangdong province and represent the city's intense love for tea culture. Tea drinking is everywhere, and it is always a Dancong oolong in each and every cup.
Our best in show Dancong is named for its robust fruity and flowery overtones that clearly exert themselves throughout the many possible infusions. The 'Mi' for Shui Mi Tao (a variety of peach) and 'Lan' for orchids offers several hints as to the various delicious aromas and flavours that show up in each steeping. These flavours, as usual, are natural to the tea leaf picking and the highly secretive processing techniques of the tea master, with no added ingredients or flavourings.
