Long Jing tea is one of China's top 10 teas and is considered the best by those devoted to green tea. The flat and smooth tea leaves (resembling pine needles with a pale green color) brew a tea with light green color, a subtle fragrant scent, and a refreshing taste.

This particular Zhejiang Long Jing tea is a 'wild' leaf tea. In Pu'er tea, this would raise the price but with a famous green tea it represents good value. The quality is notably very high but it does not come from the more famous West-Lake region and therefore does not command the same high price. Also wild Long Jing tea in particular has a more robust taste than the gentler West Lake Long Jing and Ming-qian West Lake Long Jing teas.
