Longjing is one of China's top 10 teas and is considered the best by those devoted to green tea. The flat and smooth tea leaves (resembling pine needles with a pale green color) brew a tea with light green color, a subtle fragrant scent, and a refreshing taste.
This particular Zhejiang Longjing is a 'wild' leaf tea. In Pu'er tea, this would raise the price but with a famous green tea it represents good value. The quality is notably very high but it does not come from the more famous West-Lake region and therefore does not command the same high price. Also wild Long Jing in particular has a more robust taste than the gentler West Lake Long Jing and Ming-qian West Lake Long Jing teas.
