Dancong oolongs hail from Chaozhou, in Guangdong province and represent the city's intense love for tea culture. Tea drinking is everywhere, and it is always a Dancong oolong in each and every cup.
Huang Jin Pian is an exotic picking of the standard Dancong leaf due to its wildly yellow appearance as well as its much lighter aroma than the typical heavy-roasted Feng Huang Dancong-style pickings. In fact, this Dancong impressed us so much with its depth of rich flavours lasting many many infusions that we picked up as much of it as we could. If simply for the price, we think it makes a fabulous and delicious everyday tea, and should do very when well made gongfu-style as well.
