 | First-Grade Da Hong Pao (a.k.a. Big Red Robe Qing Xiang Da Hong Pao)
| Season: | Spring 2008 | | | Origin: | Wu Yi Mountain, Fujian Province | |
Da Hong Pao is considered the strongest full-bodied Oolong comparable to a top "espresso" in the coffee world. Multiple infusions of this tea will keep offering a uniquely multi-dimensional oolong flavour along with a silky-smooth aftertaste.
This is our current choice picking for the season. It is also considered a light-roasted or Qing-Xiang tea, so the taste is very complex and 'light-fragrant', and does not show much trace of the roasting process like many Zu-huo or Zhong-huo (high and mid-roasted) teas do. Suitable for gifting and especially tea tasting. Enjoy! |
