Bai Mu Dan's production time is quick and simple on the surface, but the required level of precision is proportional to its fantastic and stimulating aroma. White teas are likely famous in the west more for the significant amount of here-say regarding its lacking of caffeine*, but the quality of this Bai Mu Dan should prove itself with its calming floral aroma long before health claims begin to be debated. We find this picking to be a great quality white tea that also offers a clear glimpse of what is to come in the higher grade whites, such as Bai Hao Silver Needle (Bai Hao Yin Zhen).
* Bai Mu Dan like many white teas does not release caffeine the same way most other teas do, and for some can even make a great drink before bed! It is difficult to say that it does not have any caffeine, but simply handles it very differently. That does not seem to stop the hype however!
